Adam Nisenson
LMFT, CSAT
Adam Nisenson is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT). He is known as The Betrayal Shrink, a pioneering voice in men’s mental health, and the first professional to define and name the phenomenon of Masculine Betrayal Trauma, the unique emotional and psychological experience men face when betrayed by a partner.
Adam’s clinical work is dedicated to helping men who have been cheated on, as well as those facing broader life challenges related to identity, masculinity, and emotional healing. In addition to betrayal trauma, he specializes in treating sex addiction and sexual compulsivity, offering men a safe, nonjudgmental space to confront both sides of relational and sexual struggle. You could say he understands the pain on both ends of the betrayal spectrum and helps men heal, no matter which side they’re on.
Drawing from his own lived experience, after his former spouse’s affair with her business partner over 12 years ago, Adam brings both personal understanding and clinical depth to every session, every book, and every word he shares.
In January 2025, Adam published the groundbreaking book A Man’s Guide to Partner Betrayal, the first of its kind written by a man, for men. He has also authored A Man’s Guide to Trust After Partner Betrayal (a clinical workbook) and No Man’s Land (a guided journal for betrayed men), offering men step-by-step guidance to heal, rebuild identity, and reclaim their power.
Adam also hosts the weekly podcast Men Get Cheated On Too, where he breaks the silence around male betrayal trauma and gives men a voice, language, and a path forward in a society that too often leaves them behind. His work blends depth psychology, trauma-informed care, emotional accountability, and masculine healing frameworks to help men confront betrayal without shame and emerge stronger than they were before.
He holds a graduate degree from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Marriage and Family Therapy, Professional Clinical Counseling, and Depth Psychology. You can learn more about Adam and his work with Masculine Betrayal Trauma on his website at: BetrayalShrink.com

Trevor Hardcastle
LMFT
Trevor is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has been helping individuals and couples heal since 2002. He specializes in working with men who are experiencing partner betrayal trauma, whether due to infidelity, secret-keeping, relational breakdown, or addictive behaviors within a partner. He understands that for many men, this kind of trauma is often carried silently, accompanied by shame, confusion, and deep emotional pain.
His therapeutic approach is rooted in trauma-informed care, blending the structure of EMDR for processing emotional wounds, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for emotional regulation and coping, and Relational Therapy to help rebuild trust, connection, and identity.
Trevor doesn’t believe in quick fixes. He meets his clients with compassion, clinical insight, and grounded strategy, helping them untangle the emotional chaos and reclaim their sense of power and direction. At the core of Trevor’s work is a deep respect for the human capacity to recover, grow, and rise stronger after relational harm.
His belief is simple: healing begins when a man is finally allowed to speak his truth, without shame, without judgment, and without being told to 'man up.'Trevor helps men move through the complexity of partner betrayal trauma toward healing, clarity, and strength. He offers a space where change is possible, and where relationships; both with others and with oneself can mend.
